All bookings are made with Carmen Ganne, owner of all advertised itineraries/programs found on this website or marketing materials (herein referred to as “Carmen Ganne” or “the Company”). By booking an event/retreat/session with Carmen Ganne and/or by using this website, you are agreeing to these Booking Terms and Conditions, which constitutes the entire agreement between you and Carmen Ganne. All participants under 18 years of age must have parental consent/be accompanied by an adult in order to participate.

Booking Terms & Conditions

I. Participant Agreements

Please note: Carmen Ganne celebrates and embraces choice. As such, all programs and experiences are voluntary and the group dynamics are an important part of the experience for everyone involved. Therefore everyone involved needs to be willing and wanting to be present. Group experiences are not intended to heal or repair estranged relationships in which either of the parties are unwilling.

Further, this is not a therapeutic program. Although research suggests the enormous therapeutic value of things like experiential learning, parallel activity, shared experience, and building connection, this program is not intended to address serious behavioural or addiction issues, or mental health concerns. Please contact your healthcare provider for assistance, support and referrals with these.

The relationship with Carmen Ganne is in no way to be construed as psychological counseling or any type of psychotherapy.

As a participant, you enter into an event/retreat/session with the understanding that you are responsible for making your own decisions and creating your own results. You also agree not to hold Carmen Ganne responsible or liable for any actions or results for any adverse situations created as a direct result of a specific referral given leading up to, at or after an event/retreat/session.

Carmen Ganne, is a Guide, Facilitator and Mentor for cultivating connection, communication, breathwork and yoga. She does not claim to be a Counselor, Therapist or Medical Practitioner.

In creating a participant agreement with Carmen Ganne, you must inform Carmen Ganne, if you are taking any medication and/or working with any other therapies or practitioners. This allows the deepest supportive collaboration for your well-being.

You are solely responsible for your safety, health, and well-being and must hereby release Carmen Ganne and all hosts and coordinators from any and all responsibility for any injuries and/or resulting damages from your participation in any event/retreat/session/program. You must certify that you are in good physical and mental health to partake in all activities.

As participants, you are solely responsible for your own travel arrangements/coordination and/or any changes, delays or interruptions that may occur. Any travel support or suggestions provided by hosts or agents is in no way associated with Carmen Ganne and Carmen Ganne is in no way responsible for any outcome. Participants are solely responsible to make appropriate and suitable travel arrangements and any associated costs resulting from any changes, delays or interruptions that may occur. Participants are responsible for any medical or transportation costs that may occur due to injury or illness as a result of their participation in event/retreat/session activities and have purchased adequate medical/travel insurance as necessary.

Carmen Ganne reserves the right to take photographs during the operation of any program or part thereof and to use them for promotional purposes. By registering with Carmen Ganne, you agree to allow your images to be used in such photographs and hereby release Carmen Ganne and its legal representatives and assigns from all current and/or future claims and liability relating to said photographs.

All participants understand they are solely responsible for themselves and for their belongings while attending an event/retreat/session.

Also, by attending a retreat/event/session with Carmen Ganne, you agree to:

Attend All Sessions and Be on Time: Group dynamics and shared experience are an important part of the retreat. You must be 100% committed to the entirety of the experience.

Respect Confidentiality: Retreat and events are held within a safe and sacred space for everyone involved by honouring confidentiality.

Limit Cell Phone and Technology Use: Allow yourself the opportunity to minimize external distractions during your experience.

Abstain from Alcohol and/or Drug Use: All experiences are free from alcohol and/or drug use. This also includes plant medicines and/or other mind-altering substances. There is no smoking at any event/venue.

Respect Copyright and Intellectual Property: Session/event material is shared for your own personal use to support your own path. The original content is owned by Carmen Ganne and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

II. Insurance Requirements

All participants are required to provide proof of current and adequate travel insurance before the beginning of any retreat booked with Carmen Ganne. At a minimum, your travel insurance must cover up to $100,000 USD in personal injury and medical treatment and $200,000 USD in repatriation and evacuation expenses including international helicopter rescue and air ambulance services. Your travel insurance must also include coverage for personal property and trip cancellation. You acknowledge that trip cancellation insurance may be the only means of receiving reimbursement for flights and other non-refundable expenses should you cancel your retreat for any reason, whether voluntarily on your part or as a result of Carmen Ganne’s actions. You are responsible for understanding the specifics of your travel insurance policy, ensuring that your policy covers all optional and included activities listed in the trip itinerary, and that there are no exclusion clauses which would limit the coverage for any activity type. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY YOUR INSURANCE POLICY DETAILS WITH YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER TO ENSURE THESE REQUIREMENTS ARE SATISFIED.

III. Deposit Requirement

All retreats require payment of a non-refundable deposit amounting to 50% of the retreat price for each person to confirm your spot on the retreat. However, if your booking is made within 45 days or less (for Full Immersion Retreats) or 30 days or less (for Weekend Retreats) of the retreat’s start date, the full amount of the retreat is due at the time of booking.

All sessions/session packages require payment in full at time of booking.

IV. Confirmation And Payment Details

Booking is easy with our secure online booking system.

1) Full Immersion Retreats:

  1. a) Deposits:
  2. i) A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to confirm your spot for retreats. Full payment is due 45 days prior to retreat start date. However, if your booking is made within 45 days or less of the retreat’s start date, the full amount of the retreat is due at the time of booking.
  3. ii) If you do not pay the balance of your retreat within 45 days of the departure date, your booking will be canceled resulting in the loss of all money collected.
  4. b) Cancellations:
  5. i) Retreat payments are non-refundable. Any cancellations made on your behalf will result in the loss of all money collected. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that you have comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation coverage so that you are protected financially in case anything comes up that prevents you from joining the retreat.
  6. ii) If Carmen Ganne is forced to significantly alter or cancel your retreat, you will be notified as soon as possible. In these circumstances, you can choose one of the following options:

(1) Accept Carmen Ganne’s offer of a comparable replacement retreat, or

(2) Receive a refund of all monies paid.

iii) When accepting an offer for a replacement retreat:

(1) If the cost is lower than the price of your original retreat, you will receive a refund for the difference in cost.

(2) If the cost of the replacement retreat is equivalent or higher than your original retreat, you owe nothing.

2) Weekend Retreats:

  1. a) Deposits:
  2. i) A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to confirm your spot for retreats. Full payment is due 30 days prior to retreat start date. However, if your booking is made within 30 days or less of the retreat’s start date, the full amount of the retreat is due at the time of booking.
  3. ii) If you do not pay the balance of your retreat within 30 days of the departure date, your booking will be canceled resulting in the loss of all money collected.
  4. b) Cancellations:
  5. i) Retreat payments are non-refundable. Any cancellations made on your behalf will result in the loss of all money collected. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that you have comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation coverage so that you are protected financially in case anything comes up that prevents you from joining the retreat (if applicable).
  6. ii) If Carmen Ganne is forced to significantly alter or cancel your retreat, you will be notified as soon as possible. In these circumstances, you can choose one of the following options:

(1) Accept Carmen Ganne’s offer of a comparable replacement retreat, or

(2) Receive a refund of all monies paid.

iii) When accepting an offer for a replacement retreat:

(1) If the cost is lower than the price of your original retreat, you will receive a refund for the difference in cost.

(2) If the cost of the replacement retreat is equivalent or higher than your original retreat, you owe nothing.

3) Workshops

  1. a) Full payment is due at the time of booking.
  2. b) Cancellations:
  3. i) Any cancellations made on your behalf will result in the loss of all money collected.
  4. ii) If Carmen Ganne is forced to significantly alter or cancel your workshop, you will be notified as soon as possible. In these circumstances, you can choose one of the following options:

(1) Accept Carmen Ganne’s offer of a comparable replacement workshop, or

(2) Receive a refund of all monies paid.

  1. iv) When accepting an offer for a replacement workshop:

(1) If the cost is lower than the price of your original workshop, you will receive a refund for the difference in cost.

(2) If the cost of the replacement workshop is equivalent or higher than your original workshop, you will owe nothing.

4) Sessions

  1. a) Full payment is due at the time of booking.
  2. b) Cancellations:
  3. i) Carmen Ganne does not offer refunds on sessions purchased. At least 48 hours notice is required to reschedule a session. Any cancellations or changes to sessions made on your behalf within less than 48 hours will result in a cancellation fee equal to the session fee.
  4. ii) If Carmen Ganne is forced to significantly alter or cancel your session, you will be notified as soon as possible. In these circumstances, you can choose one of the following options:

(1) Accept Carmen Ganne’s offer of a comparable replacement session, or

(2) Receive a refund equal to the session fee.

V. Optional Activities

During any event/retreat with Carmen Ganne, there may be opportunities to participate in activities or local events which are not included in Carmen Ganne’s packaged event/retreat. CARMEN GANNE DISCLAIMS ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES WITH REGARD TO THE SAFETY OR QUALITY OF THESE ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS, OR THE STANDARDS OF THE INDEPENDENT OPERATOR RUNNING IT. Activity examples may include, but are not limited to, vehicle/boat/aircraft trips, walking or guided trips, surfing, fishing, hiking, swimming, zip lining, and parasailing. Events may include, but are not limited to, local festivals, concerts, and organized events. It is understood and acknowledged by you that any assistance given by Carmen Ganne’s retreat leader or staff to help arrange these optional activities does not constitute a waiver of this disclaimer or create representations and warranties on the part of the Company. Carmen Ganne does not sponsor or endorse these activities or events, nor can Carmen Ganne be held liable for any injury or illness or any consequence whatsoever resulting from your participation. If you decide to participate in these events, you do so voluntarily and are responsible for taking appropriate precautions to ensure your own safety.

VI. Discounts And Promotions

All discounts and reduced pricing are applied at Carmen Ganne’s discretion. From time-to-time, Carmen Ganne may offer reduced pricing on selected retreats/workshops/sessions. The reduced pricing applies strictly to new bookings only. Bookings for which the participant has already paid a deposit are locked into their original price and are not entitled to any reduced pricing.

VII. Passports And Visas

Valid passports are required for travel to most destinations. Please check with the appropriate consulate or embassy for the latest visa requirements. You assume complete and full responsibility for, and hereby release Carmen Ganne from any duty or responsibility for, checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of each destination, and all safety or security conditions at such destinations. It is your responsibility to ensure the veracity and adequacy of information provided to the Company.

VIII. Retreat & Itinerary Changes

Advertised prices are based on current rates of exchange, tariffs and taxes. Carmen Ganne reserves the right to increase its retreat prices without notice to cover increased costs, tariffs and taxes with reasonable notice to participants. Additionally, Carmen Ganne reserves the right with reasonable notice to the participant to implement other surcharges at any time, even subsequent to payment of deposit and/or partial booking fees, to address unexpected or unplanned fluctuations in global exchange markets. Carmen Ganne reserves the right with reasonable notice to the participant to withdraw any event/retreat or part therein and to alter the itinerary or event/retreat inclusions, as it deems necessary or appropriate under the circumstances. In the event that events that are either unforeseen or uncontrollable result in event/retreat cancellation, delays, itinerary changes, or other adjustments, Carmen Ganne will use reasonable commercial efforts to provide comparable alternatives. Any resulting additional costs to Carmen Ganne that result from such alternatives may be passed on to you with reasonable notice. In most instances, events/retreats will operate as originally planned, but Carmen Ganne reserves the right to make reasonable alterations after the final itinerary has been issued.  

IX. Promotional Photography

Carmen Ganne reserves the right to take photographs during the operation of any program or part thereof and to use them for promotional purposes. By booking a reservation with Carmen Ganne, you agree to allow your images to be used in such photographs. These images will NOT be sold for editorial, trade, advertising, or for any other purpose or in any other manner and/or medium without your inspection or approval. You hereby release Carmen Ganne and his/her legal representatives and assigns from all current and/or future claims and liability relating to said photographs.

You acknowledge that the photographer at events/retreats may own the rights to the photos and be allowed to use them for personal use and promotional uses only.

You acknowledge that because the Company or the photographer will own the rights to the photos, you agree not to sell any photos or make a commercial profit on them but to only use them for personal use. You acknowledge that any other use may expose you to legal liability.

What does this mean? Carmen Ganne wants to share the documented beauty of your experience. Carmen Ganne will be using photos taken at events/retreats for promotional purposes (website, social media channels, press inquiries etc.). However, be clear that Carmen Ganne will never sell these images. Should you have specific photography concerns, you are responsible for raising them prior to booking or with the photographer at the event/retreat PRIOR to the taking of any photographs during that event/retreat.

Carmen Ganne’s name and logo are registered property of the Company, and may not be copied, imitated or used, in whole or in part, without the prior written permission of Carmen Ganne. Carmen Ganne makes every effort to hire qualified independent photographers to take photographs during events/retreat. However, you acknowledge and accept that Carmen Ganne disclaims all liability due to the failure of the photographer’s equipment, including cameras, related photographic equipment or computers, or his or her failure to take photographs appropriate to every participant’s unique tastes or interests.

X. Complaints, Claims And Refunds

Refunds are not issued for any included activity that is missed or altered due to circumstances beyond Carmen Ganne’s reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, strikes or labor disputes, significant weather event, government orders or any other force majeure event. Anyone looking to make a claim, submit a complaint, or request compensation for any reason must do so in writing or email within 30 days after the retreat’s cancellation or completion. Any and all supporting documentation to the claim or complaint must accompany the written letter or email. Any claim or complaint received by Carmen Ganne after this deadline will not be accepted or reviewed. Carmen Ganne reserves the right to honor or resolve these claims at its exclusive discretion.

XI. Limits On Responsibility

Carmen Ganne is not responsible for delays, changes, or cancellation costs due to incorrect, incomplete or expired traveler documents. In the event that you must cancel, delay or reschedule your retreat due to expired or missing travel documentation, you are responsible for all associated costs to rectify the situation. If you are unable to join your event/retreat, you will not be reimbursed or refunded any amounts as per the cancellation terms listed in this document.

At no point, and under no circumstances, is Carmen Ganne responsible for payments or costs relating to external services such as flights, accommodations, services, car service, or any other part of travel that was booked and paid for externally to Carmen Ganne. Carmen Ganne is not obligated to alter any retreat itinerary or suspend a retreat’s commencement for any reason outside of Carmen Ganne’s control that prevents you from joining an event/retreat as planned. Carmen Ganne reserves the right to make alterations to retreats, itineraries, inclusions, and activities at any time with reasonable notice to the participant. Carmen Ganne may also replace the hotels, vehicles, or included activities without notice so long as these adjustments do not materially alter the retreat or jeopardize the safety of its participants.

XII. Travel Advisories & Warnings

It is your responsibility to become informed about the areas where you are about to travel to including any travel advisories and warnings issued by your country’s governmental travel safety departments. You are responsible for protecting your own well-being and personal property before, during, and after your event/retreat with Carmen Ganne. This includes ensuring any and all vaccinations, inoculations, or prescribed medications are taken as directed by your local doctor and/or travel clinic for the areas visited.

XIII. Local Payments

At times throughout your retreat, it is possible that you will have the opportunity to participate in activities and/or events that are not included in the retreat itinerary. These opportunities allow you to customize your experience and level of adventure on the retreat, but keep in mind that Carmen Ganne does not endorse or sponsor these services as mentioned in the Optional Activities section above. All optional activities are paid for locally and directly to the supplier of the activity, event, or service.

XIV. Personal Responsibility

You are responsible for purchasing the style of retreat that fits your desired comfort level and participating in activities that are suitable for your physical, mental and emotional health and capabilities. You understand and assume each and every risk associated with any event/retreat or activities thereto, any of which can cause injury or even death. Risks and hazards that may be present during any retreat include, but are not limited to:

Changes to your physical, mental and/or emotional state;

Travel by automobile or other means of conveyance;

Hazards of traveling, hiking, exploring, or participating in activities that take place in remote or rugged, unpredictable terrain and where phone or radio communications are unavailable;

Risks associated with wildlife encounters while participating in any outdoor activity;

Risks associated with crossing roadways and entering/exiting vehicles;

The unavailability of immediate medical attention or means of rapid evacuation in case of emergency;

Risks of injury, dehydration, or even death resulting from my participation in any sporting or adventurous activities such as boating, surfing, fishing, swimming, diving, parasailing, hiking, yoga, zip lines, rope swings, walking tours, photography tours, vehicle tours, and scenic flights;

Mechanical or construction failures of vehicles and equipment;

Any physical, mental, or other conditions or disabilities that belong to you, anyone you are traveling with or others on the retreat that may be a hazard to any group members and may be exacerbated by any of the other risks contained herein;

Acts of God, acts of terrorism, forces of nature, and unpredictable weather conditions;

Areas of unsafe or unstable conditions due to political or civil disturbances, or other unforeseen circumstances.

In addition to assuming any of the risks and hazards of a retreat, some of which are listed above (though a complete listing is not possible), you agree to be responsible for any and all expenses resulting from any inherent risk, whether identified or not, and as a result of your negligence.

You further certify that you are in an appropriate and good physical, mental and emotional condition for participating in the retreat of your choosing and to participate in any activities relating thereto, and have the ability to safely engage in all other activities in which you may partake while an event/retreat participant with Carmen Ganne. You understand that it is advisable to obtain appropriate medical evaluation and your doctor’s approval prior to initiation of certain travel, exercise and/or personal exploration activities. Your participation in these activities is purely voluntary. No one is forcing you to participate, and you elect to participate in spite of the risks.

Carmen Ganne reserves the right to decline anyone from joining an event/retreat with justifiable cause. Carmen Ganne also reserves the right to remove you from an event/retreat if you are creating a hazard to yourself or others, impacting the enjoyment of others, or participating in any illegal activity. Any costs resulting from being removed from an event/retreat or being declined participation in an event/retreat is at your expense.

XV. Seat Belt Policy

To ensure the safety of our participants and staff, Carmen Ganne recommends that everyone wear their seat belts at all times while riding in any vehicle that is in motion. This recommendation is not only for your safety but also for the safety of everyone else in the vehicle. It is noted that some vehicles internationally may not be equipped with these restraints as accepted by local laws. Carmen Ganne and our transportation suppliers remain focused on protecting your safety, but they cannot be expected to constantly check to make sure everyone is buckled prior to moving a vehicle. Therefore, it is your responsibility to wear your seat belt properly and at all times while the vehicle is in motion.

XVI. Cultural Differences

It is acknowledged and understood that traveling to international destinations will expose travelers to unique situations and experiences that may be different than those you are familiar with in your home country. These differences enhance the experience of your retreat, and typically involve cultural and social aspects of the region such as food, drink, attire, and local laws. Retreat staff will discuss these differences during your retreat, but you also have a responsibility to perform your own research and act responsibly while traveling.

XVII. Alcohol and Drug Policy

Carmen Ganne does not tolerate drug or alcohol use of any kind during any sessions/events/retreats. This policy is in place for your safety, well being and support of your experience, as well as for those traveling/attending with you. You are encouraged to enjoy yourself and take advantage of the local culture, but Carmen Ganne emphasizes safety as a top priority.

XVIII. Applicable Law

The Province of British Columbia law governs these Terms and Conditions to the fullest extent allowable. Any disputes in connection with an event/retreat with Carmen Ganne or these Terms and Conditions will be initiated in the Superior Courts of the Province of British Columbia where exclusive jurisdiction resides. If a court or any other appropriate authority finds any portion of this document to be invalid, the remainder will remain in full force and effect.

From time to time, the Company may need to change its Terms and Conditions because of changes in its business, or in its attempts to serve your needs better. Carmen Ganne will use reasonable efforts to publish any changes to its Terms and Conditions, including publishing the current terms on this website. Please check back from time to time to review any changes to these policies.
